Shahi paneer Ingredients
– 250 grams of cubed paneer
– 2 medium chopped onions 2 large chopped tomatoes 1/4 cup cashew nuts, dipped in warm water for 10 minute
– 1/2 tablespoon ginger-garlic paste
– 1/2 cup fresh cream 2 tablespoons ghee or 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
– 1 cinnamon cane
– 2-3 green cardamom
– 1/2 teaspoon-powder of turmeric
– 1 teaspoon red chili powder
– 1/2 teaspoon coriander powder
– 1/2 teaspoon garam masala
– Salt as per your taste coriander leaves for garnish
1 – Heat ghee in a pan. add all raw spices (cumin seeds, cinnamon, and cardamom pods ) and saute for two minutes until fragrant.
2 – Add finely sliced onions and saute until they turn golden brown.
3 – Add grind ginger-garlic paste and cook until the fresh smell disappears.
4 – Add tomato puree and cook until the ghee separates from the masala mixture.
5 – Grind the soaked cashew nuts into a smooth paste with water.
6 – Add the cashew paste to the tomato-onion masala mixture and cook for 4 to 5 minutes.
7 – Add turmeric powder, red chili powder, coriander powder, and salt as per your taste. Mix well and cook for another 2-3 minutes.
8 – Add fresh cream and mix it well. Cook for two minutes.
9 – Add cubed paneers and gently mix them with the masala, being careful not to break the paneer pieces.
10 – Add garam masala for 5-7 minutes on low heat until the gravy thickens and coats the paneer cubes.
