Shahi paneer Ingredients

– 250 grams of cubed paneer 

– 2 medium chopped onions 2 large chopped tomatoes 1/4 cup cashew nuts, dipped in warm water for 10 minute 

– 1/2 tablespoon ginger-garlic paste 

– 1/2 cup fresh cream 2 tablespoons ghee or 1 teaspoon cumin seeds 

– 1 cinnamon cane

 – 2-3 green cardamom

– 1/2 teaspoon-powder of turmeric

– 1 teaspoon red chili powder

– 1/2 teaspoon coriander powder

– 1/2 teaspoon garam masala

– Salt as per your taste coriander leaves for garnish

1 – Heat ghee in a pan. add all raw spices (cumin seeds, cinnamon, and cardamom pods ) and saute for two minutes until fragrant. 

2 – Add finely sliced onions and saute until they turn golden brown. 

3 –  Add grind ginger-garlic paste and cook until the fresh smell disappears. 

4 –   Add tomato puree and cook until the ghee separates from the masala mixture.

5 –  Grind the soaked cashew nuts into a smooth paste with water.

6 –   Add the cashew paste to the tomato-onion masala mixture and cook for 4 to 5 minutes.

7 – Add turmeric powder, red chili powder, coriander powder, and salt as per your taste. Mix well and cook for another 2-3 minutes.

8 –  Add fresh cream and mix it well. Cook for two minutes.

9 –  Add cubed paneers and gently mix them with the masala, being careful not to break the paneer pieces.

10 – Add garam masala for 5-7 minutes on low heat until the gravy thickens and coats the paneer cubes.

11 –  your shahi paneer is ready to garnish with chopped coriander leaves.

12 –  plate up with naan, roti, or rice.

some tips for making mouth-watering Shahi Paneer:

– The paneer should be soft and fresh. Also, you can make paneer at home using milk and lemon juice.

 – cook chopped onions, tomato paste, ginger, and garlic paste until they are well-cooked and turned brown before blending them into a smooth paste.

 – You can intensify the flavor of the dish by using row spices like cloves, cardamom sticks, and cinnamon.

– at the end Garnish with fresh cream, and chopped coriander leaves.

 – Let the Shahi Paneer rest for ten minutes after cooking. it will allow the flavors to meld together for a delicious dish.

 – plate Shahi Paneer hot with naan , roti, or with rice for a complete meal experience.

 – The gravy should be thick and creamy. if your gravy is too thick, you can add some water to it.

 – according to your taste you can adjust the amount of green chili, red chili powder, and garam masala.

what is the difference between Shahi Paneer and Kadai Paneer?
Kadai paneer is made with kadai masala. in this dish, we add bell peppers, tomatoes, kasuri methi, paneer, and raw spices. But in shahi, paneer we don’t use any of these ingredients except for paneer. and we add cream in shahi paneer but in kadai paneer, there is very little cream Kadai paneer is spicy and not creamy or sweet. But Shahi paneer is creamy, sweetish, and is not spicy.
